Renishaw Hall is one of the most romantic settings for a wedding in the country.
Its beautiful Italianate gardens, designed more than 100 years ago by Sir George Sitwell, sparkle in sunshine, and in misty weather the sound of water and the different garden rooms, defined by Sir George's crisp and tall yew hedges, add a softness and charm.
The gardens in Spring overflow with flowers - the Snowdrop Festival in February, the Bluebell Fortnight, and then in June 1000 roses bloom. Later in the summer the herbaceous borders come into their own. At any time of year they are the perfect backdrop for a memorable wedding.
Wedding marquees are set up on the Wedding Lawn, overlooking 300 acres of Derbyshire parkland, and Wedding Breakfasts can now be held in the Red Dining Room, designed in the 18th century by Sheffield architect Joseph Badger.
There are only 14 weddings at Renishaw every year and we do our best to make sure they run smoothly and happily.
Our Wedding Coordinator in the Events Office can advise and support you throughout, if you would like. Please contact her for information on costs, catering, marquees, licences, music, flowers, cars - she will be delighted to help.
