Designed by playwright Sir John Vanbrugh in 1699, Castle Howard is an extravagant architectural delight, set within 1,000 acres of breathtaking parkland. Its dramatic spaces are filled with worldrenowned collections gathered by succeeding generations of the Howard family.

Civil marriage ceremonies are performed at the beautiful pavilion known as the Temple of the Four Winds. It is approached along the romantic temple terrace lined with eighteenth century statues. Receptions can either be held in the elegant Grecian Hall or the dramatic Long Gallery. Champagne and canapes can be served under the famous domed ceiling of the Great Hall. Using the best of local produce, our menus have been carefully designed to offer a range of dining options to suit all tastes.

Castle Howard can offer a host of finishing touches and entertainment. Marquee sites are also available.
