Tucked away in the heart of Buckinghamshire countryside lies an unexpected jewel. With its graceful appearance, peaceful setting and extraordinary 18th century rococo interiors, Claydon House has all the special ingredients for an elegant and stylish wedding. Outwardly classic, the interiors of Claydon House are an extraordinary mixture of intricate rococo, neoclassical and chinoiserie designs. Rebuilt in the 18th century by the Verney family it was a showcase in elaborate and unique decoration. Today the house has lost none of its grandeur and encompasses the Civil War exploits of the Verney family as well as displaying the rooms of Florence Nightingale who was often a guest. Both the North Hall, with its magnificent views across the Terrace and parkland, and the Saloon with 10ft high mahogany doors and intricate carvings, are a wonderful example of style and wealth. Today, they are available for fine dining, meetings and drinks receptions.
